Meet your mountain guide at the designated starting point for a briefing on the Avalanche Safety Day. Receive professional ARVA equipment: beacon (DVA), shovel, and probe.
Practical introduction to essential avalanche safety techniques: victim search, companion rescue, and proper use of ARVA equipment. Begin exercises on a secure training area.
step 2 : 10:30 AM
Terrain observation and analysis: your guide teaches you how to assess snow conditions and risks before venturing off-piste. Practice through real-life simulations on the terrain.
step 3 : 12:00 PM
Lunch break (provided by the participant or included picnic, depending on the program) and discussion of best practices and feedback from morning exercises.
step 4 : 1:00 PM
Advanced exercises and scenarios: group victim search, real-time decision making, rescue techniques, and communication skills.
step 5 : 3:30 PM
Final off-piste session guided by your mountain expert. Apply all skills learned while safely exploring the mountain.
