Fantastic rafting experience! The equipment provided was top quality. The guides were very kind and friendly! They showed us how to swim and rescue people in the water. At the end of the trip, they even offered us refreshments... We highly recommend it; it's the best service we've received in three years!

We had an exceptional experience: our guides knew the mountains inside out (on and off-piste) and were able to accommodate a group of skiers of all levels. They were punctual, guided us perfectly during long days, and showed great attention and patience in responding to our needs. I highly recommend Tarantaise Tours for any alpine adventure (my family will be using them again!).

I have been using Tarentaise Tours for many years and every trip has been excellent. Their relationships with the heliskiing operations just across the Italian border are first class and they only employ the best fully qualified local mountain guides in the Tarentaise, meaning you will experience the best skiing available. I have also used their services for tailor-made tours of the Gran Paradiso, Upper Valais, and Monte Rosa 😃😃😃 with the same 5-star results ⭐️. Highly recommended.

Julie

Director

Where are you from?
I’m originally from the countryside south of Lyon. I was adopted by the Tarentaise region in 2008 when I met my husband at the foot of the Via Cordata du Crot in Ste Foy Tarentaise.

What is your role at Tarentaise Tours?
I am the manager of Tarentaise Tours. My role is quite broad and covers almost all areas of a company like Tarentaise Tours: quotes, costing, customer relations, but also administration, budgeting, and communication. I am not in charge of any particular file. My role is more to supervise and organize the team’s work and to contribute my experience as much as possible and support my colleagues so that we can offer unique experiences to our customers.

What is your fondest memory of the region?
I really love being able to ski right up to my front door, skiing off-piste from Ste Foy or even from Italy, in wild and isolated areas, without seeing anyone else, in a magnificent setting!

Jean Noël

Head of Guides

Where are you from?
From the mountains! I was born in Bourg-Saint-Maurice and grew up in Sainte-Foy.

Why did you choose this profession?
To share my passion, interact with people, enable them to achieve their dreams, and sometimes help them exceed their limits! And, of course, to spend time in the mountains and enjoy different experiences.

What are your specialties/favorite activities?
I love snow! Gliding through virgin powder, making the first tracks on a ski tour, ski trips to discover new routes… Mountaineering too! Climbing peaks, scaling ridges. And outdoor activities in all their forms: walking, running on trails, mountain biking…

What is your fondest memory?
There are several! I would say reaching the summit of Mont Blanc at sunrise with my client, for whom it was a lifelong dream… It was a moment of great emotion and happiness!

Yulia

Sales and Operations Manager

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Siberia, near the Altai Mountains, where winters are very cold and summers are hot. I started hiking in the mountains at the age of 11, first with the photography club and then with the tourism club. My love for the mountains is eternal!

What is your role at Tarentaise Tours?
Tarentaise Tours is a travel agency, a guide office, and a shop, the TT-SHOP, with a small team at your service. As Sales and Operations Manager, I make sure your activities, trips, and seminars are organized and run smoothly, which is a rewarding, exciting, and varied job. I look forward to welcoming you to our shop and helping you plan your adventures.

What is your fondest memory of the region?
I started skiing very late in life, so my first experiences of skiing downhill were the most memorable!

Jeanne

Marketing and communication

Where are you from?
I’m from the south of France, Carcassonne to be precise.

What is your role at Tarentaise Tours?
I work in the Marketing department, which means I manage graphic design and communication across our various media: flyers, posters, website, etc. And I act as the link between you and Tarentaise Tours via our social media channels!

What is your fondest memory of the region?
My first hike in Tarentaise, surrounded by marmots!

Antoine

Guide

Where are you from?
I’m originally from the foothills of the Chartreuse mountains, near Grenoble.

Why did you choose this profession?
I’ve always loved skiing and climbing since I was a child (my father was a guide and my parents were mountaineers) and I wanted to share this passion. Through my job, I want to educate people about the mountains, “mountain life,” and the incredible activities our environment has to offer.

What are your specialties/favorite activities?
My favorite activities are off-piste skiing, ski touring, mountaineering, and multi-pitch climbing. I’m most comfortable with ski touring.

What is your fondest memory?
With friends, skiing down the Llaima volcano in the Andes in Chile.
With clients, it was organizing a full week of ski touring around Vallouise (Hautes Alpes), a place I am particularly fond of.

Benjamin

Guide

Where are you from?
I’m originally from Vercors, and I grew up in Bourg St Maurice.

Why did you choose this profession?
For the joy of sharing my passion and exploring wild and beautiful places.

What are your specialties/favorite activities?
Off-piste skiing, climbing, and canyoning! In other words: fun, sunshine, and escape!

What is your fondest memory?
A descent of the Ruitor, alone in the world, leaving no trace, with 50 cm of powder snow and under a blue sky… What else?

Magaly

Ski Instructor

Where are you from?
I’m originally from Seine-et-Marne, but I’ve been living in the valley since 1991.

Why did you choose this profession?
For the love of skiing and the mountains, and for fun!

What are your specialties/favorite activities?
I specialize in skiing, snowboarding, and telemark skiing, both off-piste and on-piste, with a preference for ski touring in recent years.

What is your fondest memory?
A ski tour with clients in Sainte-Foy during the 2021 season, when all the ski lifts were closed. The mountains were deserted and majestic: we skied the Col Granier in incredible virgin snow!
