STEP 2 /
7:00 am - Ascent of Pollux 4091m
We leave the refuge to climb up the Verra glacier, arriving at the foot of Pollux we climb a short passage of mixed terrain not very difficult to reach the snowy ridge that leads us to the summit. The descent is done by the same itinerary and back to the Guide d'Ayas hut.
altitude difference + 670 / - 670m
STEP 3 /
7:00 am - Ascent of the Castor 4230m
Like the day before we climb the high Verra glacier to reach the foot of the northwest face of the Castor, which we climb to finish on an aesthetic snowy ridge. We continue along the ridge to the Felik pass and descend along an easy glacier to the Quintino-Sella hut (3585m).
altitude difference + 805m / - 645m
STEP 4 /
6h00 - Lyskamm Naso 4272m - Vincent Pyramid 4215m
From the refuge we cross the glacier under the South face of the Lyskamm
We go up the steep slope, certainly the most technical part of the trek until the Naso, from this point you can see all the other 4000m of the Monte Rosa.
We go back down to cross the Lys glacier, and by a regular ascent we climb the Pyramide Vincent second 4000m of the day. Very nice panorama on the Po plain, we just have to go down to the Citta di Mantova refuge (3498m) where we spend the night.
STEP 5 /
5:00 am- Zumstein (4563m) - Punta Gnifetti (4556m)
We go up the wide Lys glacier to the pass of the same name. Then, by a long ascending traverse we arrive on the plateau at the foot of the Zumsteim point, which we climb by a short snow ridge. A quick descent brings us to the foot of the Gniffeti point that we reach after a short climb. A break at the Margherita refuge (the highest in Europe) located on the Gnifetti point, will allow us to recover energy before the descent. During the descent, other 4000m summits are accessible, the Pointe Parrot, Ludwige, or Corno Nerro, depending on the fitness of the participants. We pass in front of the Mantova refuge, then we arrive quickly at the Indren cable car, which drops us off at the Salati pass where the Gabiet hotel welcomes us for a well deserved rest.
altitude difference + 1060m / - 1288m
STEP 6 /
7:00 am - The last day is rather easy, after a descent to Gressoney by gondola, a cable car transports us to Betta forca (2971m) by a path and a trail in the middle of the alpine pastures, we arrive at Saint-Jacques where we find the car.

My favorite summit : the Grande Sassière -3,751. The story of why -
It's 4am, and we have been hiking for 2 hours. The snow crunches under our crampons - I am cold and my client is too. The first ray of sunshine comes up to warm us. I sit on my backpack, and we share a cup of tea and a piece of chocolate. All is perfect...
